The MPFM’s accuracy is achieved through the development and refinement of its mathematical model. A unique feature of the technology is its independence from inputted PVT data, and as a result he need for sampling is eliminated completely. The systematic errors due to such off line measurements and due to changing fluid properties are eliminated as well. A total solution… The MPFM is equipped with a multiphase densitometer module which provides self-calibration capacity to the system. Both the MPFM and the densitometer perform the same phase fraction measurements, the MPFM continuously while the densitometer is activated at punctual and programmable intervals. Each uses an independent method of measurements and the densitometer, with its laboratory grade accuracies, cross-checks the MPFM. As this process takes place through software automation, the MPFM self-calibrating for optimal accuracy. |
